Wisdom Teeth
Wisdom teeth are the third molars, the teeth in the upper and lower jaws that are the furthest back in the mouth. They start to form at age 12 and can come into the mouth in the late teens. Before they come into the mouth, they are called unerupted. If they are blocked from erupting, they are called Impacted.

Should all wisdom teeth be removed? You can consider removing a wisdom tooth if it appears not to erupt completely.

There are other situations that require wisdom teeth to be removed as well.

Only a Panoramic X-Ray and clinical exam can determine the final decision for removal of wisdom teeth.
